Andrew Bernett with his wife Courtney and their two children at home

Our Story

Created out of necessity and love.

Bee Well began with one family, one persistent problem, and the determination to build a more breathable way to keep topical care where it belongs.

The problem was personal.

Andrew Bernett is a chemist. He built jet engines at General Electric, worked on locomotives, and contributed to heart-valve research. None of that prepared him to watch his wife — a board-certified dermatologist — suffer through a severe case of hand eczema that nothing in her own field could calm. Daily cracking. Bleeding. Weeks without a full night's sleep.

One evening, working with candle wax, Andrew noticed the residue left his hands soft. He pulled beeswax from the garage — the same material he'd once used to hold bolts in place during engine assembly — infused it into fabric, and asked his wife to wear it over her cream at night.

Her hands cleared in days, not weeks.

That fabric became Bee Well: a patented cotton-blend that holds your topical against your skin while still letting it breathe. Andrew runs the chemistry. His wife, Dr. Courtney Bernett, DO, FAAD, keeps the science honest — every product is created with a board-certified dermatologist who also happens to be the reason it exists.
